Celebrating Husserl's Jahrbuch One-Hundred Years Later (January 2023)
The publication of the Jahrbuch für Philosophie und phänomenologische Forschung, the official organ of early phenomenology, was started by Husserl, Geiger, Reinach, Scheler and Pfänder in 1913; the last volume was issued in 1930.
Beginning last year and until 2030, The New Yearbook for Phenomenology and Phenomenological Philosophy will launch an annual call for papers to celebrate the 100th anniversary of each one of the single volumes. The ambition is to draw or re-draw scholars’ attention to the some of the less studied contributions and authors of the early phenomenological movement.
This year the call for papers is dedicated to the volume of 1923, which originally included:
- G. Walther, Zur Ontologie der sozialen Gemeinschaften
- H. Conrad-Martius, Realontologie
Contributions are welcome that explore any one of these texts by itself, or in connection with early phenomenology, early 20th century European philosophy or contemporary debates (deadline: August 15, 2023).
For further information, feel free to contact the journal's editors
